#Bonnies Look To Get Back On Winning Track At Iona

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team (4-2) will travel to Mazzella Field in New Rochelle, N.Y. to take on Iona College for the first time on Saturday (Mar. 23). The 2-5 Gaels will look to end a three-game losing streak.

In their last game, Iona fell to Stony Brook in a 21-3 loss. The Seawolves (6-2) allowed no goals in the second half. In the previous week the Gaels lost to UC-Davis (14-10) and California (20-9).

The Gaels will be looking to senior Kylie Gregory, who leads the team in points (30), goals (24) and shots (59). In her sophomore year, Gregory made the all-MAAC first team. Junior Jenna Stone has picked up 14 ground balls this season and junior Nina Veneziale has recorded 21 draw controls.

Bonnies sophomore Jenna Schlaugenhauf continues to impress, leading the team in points (26), goals (20) and shots (34), as well as tying with freshman Mikayla Place for a team-leading 6 assists.  Schlaugenhauf's average 3.33 goals per game rank her first in the Atlantic 10 conference. Second-leading scorer Cara Callahan has 12 points and 10 goals and leads the Bonnies with two game-winning goals.  Senior Kellyn Savage leads the Atlantic 10 averaging two caused turnovers per game.

The Bonnies enter Saturday's tilt following a tough 15-4 loss to Colgate on Wednesday (Mar. 20).  Before that, they recorded a 9-8 victory in their home opener against the Siena Saints.
