ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Sophomore Marisa Brossard posted a singles win and also contributed to a doubles victory for the St. Bonaventure women's tennis team against Xavier on Saturday, but the Bonnies fell to the Musketeers, 6-1, in an Atlantic 10 match at the SBU Fitness Center.

Brossard (pictured) scored St. Bonaventure's lone point via a 6-2, 6-2 defeat of Alex Brinker at second singles. The victory was Brossard's second individual victory in a row and improved her to a team-best 13-13 on the year.

Brossard also partnered with classmate Fatya Amiri for a 9-8 (6) triumph over Kally Alkire and Brooke Dennis at first doubles for the Bonnies (3-16, 1-5 Atlantic 10).

SBU's second and third doubles teams were bested 8-2 and 8-1, respectively, while the team's five other singles players were bested in straight sets against the Musketeers (17-5, 9-0).

The match against Xavier was last of the regular season for the Bonnies, who are next set to compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships April 18-21 in Charlottesville, Va.
