ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure lacrosse team (5-5, 0-2) will play its first game from the friendly confines of McGraw-Jennings Field on Sunday (Apr. 7) when they welcome the Hawks of Saint Joseph's (6-5, 0-2) for the noon tilt.
The Bonnies have struggled of late, scoring just seven goals over the previous three games after putting up 82 in the first seven. The Brown and White has allowed 54 goals over that three-game span.
Jenna Schlagenhauf has registered at least one point in every game except the 18-1 loss to Duquesne (Mar. 29). The Clarence Center native has put up a team-high 34 points with 26 goals and nine assists, both team highs.
St. Joe's has played the same conference schedule as the Bonnies so far, dropping its opener to Temple, 7-6, then falling to Duquesne on Friday (Apr. 5), 16-1. The Hawks boast three players with 20+ goals. Julia Falcone and Meghan McDevitt lead the way with 21 scores each. McDevitt however has an overwhelming points lead with 37 thanks to her 16 assists.
The Bonnies are still in search of its first Atlantic 10 Conference victory since April 15, 2011 when they defeated La Salle 15-10.
Following Sunday's matchup with the Hawks the Bonnies will take a break from A-10 play to travel to Bucknell on Tuesday (Apr. 9) at 7:00 p.m. A-10 play for the Brown and White will resume on Friday (Apr. 12) at George Washington.
