Colgate Defeats @BonniesLax, 18-6

The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team fell at Colgate Monday afternoon by a score of 18-6. The Bonnies were lead by LeighAnn Stauffer, who attained a hat trick in the losing effort.

The sophomore got the Brown and White on the board 17 minutes in, making it a 4-1 game. With five minutes remaining in the first half, Stauffer scored her second goal of the afternoon cutting the Bonnie's deficit to 6-2. Colgate scored again, but with a 1:28 left in the first half, Scarlet Jaworski found the back of the net to bring the score to 7-3.

Jaworski stayed hot, scoring again just four minutes into the second half to bring the score to 8-4. Colgate would go on a run over the next 12 minutes, however, pulling ahead 14-4. Mikayla Place brought Colgate's run to an end, scoring her ninth goal on the season with 14 minutes remaining in the game. Colgate answered with four more goals, but Stauffer completed her hat trick with five seconds left, netting a free position shot to make it 18-6.
