ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure played one of the A-10's best fairly close but could not overcome its lack of depth and fell 19-8 to Richmond on Sunday at McGraw-Jennings Field, ending its season 0-14.

After Gabrielle Bradley scored at the 19:41 mark of the first half St. Bonaventure pulled within 3-2, but Richmond then scored four unanswered goals to go ahead 7-2. It was a 12-4 game at halftime.

After a score by Charlett Stevenson made it 13-4, the Bonnies got three straight goals to pull within 13-7. Mikayla Place, LeighAnn Stauffer and Mary Maestri had the Bonnies' goals.  The Spiders, however, ended the threat by scoring the next three goals to put the game out of reach.

Senior Lily Timlin, playing in the last game of her career, led St. Bonaventure with three goals.  Taylor Fallon and Gabrielle Bradley also scored for the Bonnies. Bonnies senior goalie Sara Schlagenhauf made five saves.

The teams were even in draw controls at 14, while Richmond had a 28-18 edge in shots.  St. Bonaventure had 23 ground balls to Richmond's 25.

Emily Doyle, Brooke Wilson and Stevenson each scored four goals for Richmond, whose only losses in the A-10 this season were by one goal to No. 11 UMass and at Duquesne on Friday.
