Box Score The St. Bonaventure women's soccer team saw it's two game conference winning streak come to an end Thursday night as the Bonnies were defeated by the Davidson 2-0.
The Bonnies fell behind early in the contest. Davidson's Dani Johnson found the back of the net in the 29th minute off a penalty kick to stake the wildcats to an early 1-0 lead.
That score would hold there until late in the second half. Mia Hodges played a ball off a free kick and deposited the ball into the back right hand corner of the goal for the 2-0 lead.
St. Bonaventure had chances throughout the game. The Bonnies took 13 shots on the night with six of them landing on net.
Abby Maiello was on the attack all night, firing six shots to lead the team. Beth Moore faced four shots total in net for St. Bonaventure who now drops to 2-5 in conference play.
Inside The Stats/Game Notes:
- The Wildcats outshot St. Bonaventure 19-13. However, the Bonnies put six shots on goal to the Wildcats four.
- Davidson is now 2-0 all time against St. Bonaventure winning last years contest by an identical 2-0 score.
- St. Bonaventure failed to score a goal for the first time since suffering a 5-0 loss to George Mason on Oct. 1st.
- The Bonnies drop to 5-9-2 overall and a 2-5 mark in the A-10. Davidson improved to 6-10 on the year and 2-5 in the A-10.
- Davidson goalkeeper Alex Carpenter stopped all 6 shots she faced on her way to her second shutout of the season.
