The Zips eventually struck first at the 24:40 mark as Sarah Sivic got the shot attempt from about eight yards out past the charging Moore.
The 1-0 Akron lead would go on to hold through the half.
In the 82nd minute, Abby Maiello juked out and drove passed the Akron keeper before burying it in the back of the net to lock it at 1-1.
The Zips would answer, though. With 18 seconds remaining in regulation, Akron's Shea O'Brien got one by the Bona keeper for the game-winning goal.
