ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-6 decision to Davidson on Sunday afternoon at the Marra Athletics Fields Complex.
Davidson improves to 8-7 overall on the year and 5-3 in Atlantic 10 play while St. Bonaventure now stands 3-13, 1-7.
The Wildcats scored the first three goals of the day for a 3-0 score at the 22:29 mark. St. Bonaventure got on the board when Jalen Middlebrooks scored unassisted at 21:59, but another Davidson tally pushed the score to 4-1.
Bona cut to within two at 4-2 following a tally from Kathryn Yoder with just over 10 minutes left in the half, but Davidson scored three unanswered goals to take complete control, ultimately heading to halftime with a 9-3 cushion.
Davidson scored the first five goals of the second half and never looked back.
Scarlet Jaworski scored twice for St. Bonaventure while Emma Sissman paced the Wildcats with four goals.
Davidson held a 34-26 margin in shots while the teams were even in draws, 13 apiece.
St. Bonaventure closes its 2016 schedule by hosting Richmond next Saturday.
