BONNIES BEGIN LITTLE THREE RIVALRY WEEKEND
The St. Bonaventure University women's soccer squares off with Little Three rivals Canisius and Niagara this weekend, welcoming the Golden Griffs on Friday night under the lights at the Marra Athletics Fields Complex before hosting Niagara for a Sunday matinee.

NEW STUDENT DAY
The first 30 new students to show their student ID at the marketing stand will receive a Wolf Pack shirt at Friday night's game.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies return to action more than a week after their last game, a 3-1 setback at Buffalo on Thursday, Aug. 25. Freshman Sabrina Sousa-Sampson scored her first collegiate goal in that game and fellow rookie Lauren Malcolm made nine saves.

ABOUT CANISIUS
The Golden Griffs have already played four contests, picking up their first win in their last time out vs. Robert Morris this past Sunday, 3-0. Canisius freshmen Elizabeth Ash and Gretty Dry each tallied their first career goals while another freshman, Alana Rossi picked up her first career shutout in net.

The Griffs have scored four goals on the season – Shawna Adams and Sabrina Fitzgerald have also notched tallies. Rossi has started all four games and recorded a 1.78 goals against average with 15 saves. Canisius dropped home games vs. Sacred Heart (2-1) and Cleveland State (2-0) and fell in its only other road game so far at Kent State (3-0). The Griffs have outshot their opponents 47-42.

Canisius welcomed 12 new players this season – nine freshmen and three junior transfers – after a 6-11-2 season last year.

SERIES HISTORY
Friday marks the 31st meeting all-time with Canisius. The Golden Griffs hold the 12-18-1 advantage in the previous meetings. Last year, the teams finished with a 1-1 draw in Buffalo. The Bonnies won the last game on home turf, 2-0, on Aug. 31, 2014.
