ORLANDO, Fla. – The St. Bonaventure University women's tennis team's 2017 season came to a close with a 4-0 loss to No. 4 Davidson in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Championship on the USTA National Campus.

The Wildcats took wins over the Bonnies in No. 1, 4 and 5 singles after taking the doubles point with wins in No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.

Gabriella Bowe earned nine wins this spring, all in No. 2 singles for the Bonnies. In her final campaign for the Bonnies, senior Lauren Doversola led the way with 11 wins in spring season.

St. Bonaventure's No. 1 singles and doubles performer Mara Martinez-Santori also played in the final competition of her career as a Bonnie. In her final season, she helped the Bonnies with five wins in No. 1 singles and teamed up with Bowe for nine wins at No. 1 doubles.

The Bonnies captured seven match wins in 2017, the most since the 2011-12 season. They will graduate two seniors and return six letterwinners for next season.
