The Bonnies got off to a strong start as they took advantage of some early Robert Morris control issues. Leading off the frame, Desiree Gonzalez was hit by a pitch, stole second base and moved up the last two spots on wild pitches to give the Bonnies a 1-0 lead.
Later in the inning, with Hailey Blencowe aboard, Alexandra Piergustavo lined a single up the middle that scored Blencowe and brought the score to 2-0.
The Colonials got one back in the second on an RBI double, and RMU later tied it at 2-2 in the fourth.
St. Bonaventure broke the tie in the fifth as Blencowe singled home Elizabeth Enovitch, but Robert Morris quickly got the run back with an RBI single of its own in the sixth inning to tie the game at 3-3.
Alissa Karjel led off the bottom of the sixth with a single, and later came home as the go-ahead run when Farrell stepped in and launched one over the fence in dead centerfield to put the Bonnies up, 5-3.
Farrell's big fly was her second of the season, her first coming Sunday against La Salle at Joyce Field.
On in relief for Josie Borysevicz, Sam Wood induced a pair of groundouts with the tying run at second base and the winning run at the plate to send Robert Morris down in the seventh and secure the win.
Josie Borysevicz started in the circle for the Bonnies and tossed 5.1 innings with four strikeouts and three runs. Wood relieved her, and got the final five outs of the game to earn her first career win.
The Bonnies managed eight hits in the contest, two apiece from Blencowe and Karjel and one each from Enovitch, Piergustavo, Farrel and Alexandra Deal.
On the base paths, the Bonnies were a perfect 6-for-6 on stolen base attempts, which is the most swiped bags for the Bonnies in a single game this season.

Much like the first game, the Bonnies took the lead early. Piergustavo led off the second inning with a single, and moved up on a wild pitch. Morgan Phillips then advanced Piergustavo to third on a fly out to center, and a wild pitch made its way far enough from the Robert Morris catcher to allow Piergustavo to score.
The Colonials tied the game with a run in the top of the third, only to have the lead taken from the by the Bonnies in the fourth.
A leadoff double from Piergustavo and a single from Phillips got the Bonnies' big inning started. Brittany Fair ran for Piergustavo, and came in to score as she attempted to steal third, and the catcher's throw went wide of the third baseman. Later in the inning, Kiera Lorenzo laid down a squeeze bunt that sent McKenna Holtz busting down the third-base line. The toss from the RMU pitcher to the catcher at the plate arrived late, allowing Holtz to slide in safely and put the Bonnies up, 3-1.
But, Robert Morris put up a four-spot in the top of the fifth as they strung together three hits and capitalized on a Bona fielding error, taking a 5-3 lead.
St. Bonaventure had a chance to rally in the seventh. Karjel reached base, and Phillips followed suit with a single. As the winning run with two outs, Molly Hennessy put together a long at-bat, but ultimately struck out, ending the game.
Rylee Hehir started in the circle and tossed all seven innings for the Brown and White. In the freshman's first start at Joyce Field, she surrendered just one earned run and struck out three.
The Bonnies outhit the Colonials, 8-7. Of the eight Bona hits, Phillips knocked three and Piergustavo worked two. Lorenzo, Farrell and Deal had one apiece.
St. Bonaventure will resume Atlantic 10 action as they travel to Dayton for a three-game set this weekend. The Bonnies and Flyers will play two on Saturday and one on Sunday, with action both days set to begin at noon.
