STORYLINE
The St. Bonaventure University softball team begins Atlantic 10 Conference play with a three-game series on the road at George Washington. The Bonnies play a doubleheader Saturday with game one starting at 1:00 p.m. while the final game of the series on Sunday is slated for 1:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies concluded play at the Tennessee State/Belmont Invitational with a doubleheader against Samford and Belmont. St. Bonaventure defeated Samford 8-0 behind a strong pitching performance from Rylee Hehir and two RBIs from Kaitlin Caringi. The Brown and White fell to Belmont 6-0 in the final game. The Bonnies also defeated Tennessee State, 5-0.
LAST TIME WE MET
St. Bonaventure and George Washington last met in the 2016 season when the Colonials took two out of three games at Joyce Field. The Bonnies won game two of the series, 3-1.
SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
The Colonials enter this weekend's series with a record of 20-7 and are winners of their last 11 games. George Washington is undefeated at home, sitting at 13-0. Alessandra Ponce leads the Colonials with a .533 batting average and has contributed 15 RBIs. Jenna Cone is the team leader in home runs (five) and RBIs (33). In the circle, Kaitlin Buff is a perfect 6-0 with a 1.79 ERA. George Washington was picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
HEHIR DEALING
Sophomore Rylee Hehir has won four consecutive decisions in the circle for the Bonnies. Hehir has tossed back-to-back complete game shutouts without allowing an extra base hit. The Putnam, Conn. native has struck out 38 batters in eight appearances, nearly eclipsing her strikeout total of 49 from a season ago.

The Bonnies are scheduled to host Canisius in the 2018 home opener at Joyce Field Wednesday, March 28. First pitch for game one is slated for 3:00 p.m. and game two will begin at 5:00 p.m.
