BALTIMORE, MD – Rylee Hehir registered a career high 11 strikeouts in the circle Sunday against Morgan State, earning her first victory of the season as the Bonnies triumphed, 10-3. St. Bonaventure fell, however, in game two to Rider, 5-4, in its second game of the day at the Coppin State Eagle Classic.

Game One – St. Bonaventure 10, Morgan State 3 |

Hehir (1-3) allowed one earned run in the circle while only allowing four hits to lead the Bonnies in game one against Morgan State. Alexandra Deal and Grace Perechinsky each added a pair of extra base hits.

The Bears would get on the board first in the bottom of the third inning with an RBI single to right field off the bat of Damali Young.

Caringi drove in Nicole Antonacci on a sacrifice fly and Jenna Richmond scored on a passed ball, capping off the big inning for the Brown and White.

Kane-Walker reached on an error in the top of the seventh, bringing in Perechinsky. Caringi scored after a throw down to second on an Enovitch stolen base. Enovitch would score when McKenna Holtz reached on an error, giving the Bonnies the 10-3 victory.

Game Two – Rider 5, St. Bonaventure 4 |

A seventh inning rally from Rider sent the Bonnies home with a heartbreaking setback in the nightcap.

An RBI double off the bat of Olivia Golay and an RBI single from Mikayla Short in the bottom of the second inning gave the Bonnies an early 2-0 lead over Rider in game two of the doubleheader Sunday.

The score remained the same until the top of the fifth when Toni Nino tripled to left centerfield, scoring Kiera Swank for a 2-1 score.

The Brown and White answered right back in the bottom of the fifth when Holtz and Deal contributed an RBI each. Holtz scored Sydney Burk on a sacrifice fly and Deal's RBI single scored Short.

The Broncs cut the deficit in half after an RBI double off the bat of Sam Ward.

In the top of the seventh with the Bonnies leading 4-2, Maddy Chain smacked a three-run home run to end the Bonnies' bid for a third straight win.
