ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y.—The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team took to their home pool for the first time this season on Saturday afternoon, falling to Cornell 144-90.
 
The meet was the team's "Pink Meet" raising awareness for breast cancer research with proceeds going to the Pink Pumpkin Project in Olean.
 
The afternoon's excitement kicked off in the 200-yard freestyle with Ellie Kraus taking second place, only three-hundredths of a second out of first, with a time of 1:54.73. Kathryn Beyer was not far behind in third with a time of 1:55.73.
 
Halle Myers time of 23.97 was good enough to earn the sophomore a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.
 
Silvana Cabrera earned the first Bonnies' victory of the day in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:10.92. Cabrera then followed it up with a victory in the 200-yard butterfly, touching the wall in 2:07.99.
 
The Brown and White took the top two spots in the 200-yard backstroke. Allison Lenda's time of 2:09.17 was good enough to edge out Beyer by five-hundredths of a second in the event.
 
The final Bona's victory of the day came from the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Myers, Kraus, Rylie Foley and Amy O'Rourke, with a time of 1:36.88.
 
In diving action Mary Wilson finished with scores of 182.03 and 193.20 in the one- and three-meter dive respectively. 

The Bonnies are next in action at the Cleveland State Invitational spanning Nov. 17-19.
