ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – For the fourth time this season senior goalkeeper
Brett Dobson has been named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive Player of the Week.
In the cage, Dobson was a pivotal part of the Bonnies 7-6 triumph over conference foe Marist.
Dobson recorded 19 saves with his final save coming off of a shot from the Red Foxes with 18 seconds remaining and a chance to tie the game.
The Oshawa, Ontario native also scooped up seven groundballs in the victory Saturday afternoon
On the season Dobson has made 132 saves with a save percentage of .660, which both rank first in the MAAC and second nationally.
He has tallied 19 or more saves in five games already this season.
St. Bonaventure looks to extend its win streak to five games when the team returns home Saturday, March 26 hosting Manhattan at the Marra Athletics Complex. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
