The St. Bonaventure University women's lacrosse team will begin Atlantic 10 play with a pair of home games. The Bonnies will host UMass Friday, March 25 beginning at 3:00 p.m. and then take on Saint Joseph's on Sunday, March 27. Game time for Sunday is slated for noon at the Marra Athletics Complex.

WEARING PURPLE FOR A GREAT CAUSE
- St. Bonaventure will again wear purple during warmups of this week's games as part of their support for the CJD Foundation.

BONNIES WIN IN A WEEKEND THRILLER
- Junior midfielder Sarah Owens scored the game-winning goal in a double overtime contest at Detroit Mercy on Sunday as the Bonnies won on the road, 18-17.
- Owens scored three goals in the game, none more critical than her game-winner to give St. Bonaventure its first victory of the season.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
- Freshman attacker Fiona McGovern has been selected at the Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.
- McGovern scored three goals at Detroit Mercy, which were the first scores and points of her collegiate career.
- Her goal in the fourth period helped complete the Bonnies comeback in the second half.
- The Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. native played a very efficient game Sunday afternoon, tallying three goals on three shots.

TEAM EFFORT
- The Bonnies' second half comeback and eventual win in overtime at Detroit Mercy took a complete team effort.
- Kassi Hogan scored a pair of goals to complete the comeback in the second half; she finished with three goals and two assists.
- In the first overtime, goalkeeper Ashley Herrick made two huge saves, one on a free position shot, to keep the game knotted up at 17.
- Herrick finished the game with 14 saves, marking this the third time this season she has recorded 12 or more saves in a game.
- Maddie Mazur (three goals), Nora Anderson (two goals/one assist), Rebecca Howe (two goals), Abby Hiltz (two goals/two assists), and Madison Mundenar (one goal) were all a pivotal part of the Bonnies victory.

ABOUT UMASS
- The Minutewomen have begun the season with a 6-2 overall record, their two losses coming against #1 Boston College and UConn.
- The reigning Atlantic 10 Champions are led by Kendra Harbinger (25 goals/five assists), Alex Finn (18 goal/10 assists), and Kelly Marra (18 goals).
- In net Gina Carroll has recorded 41 saves this season.
- Haley Connaughton (two goals/four assists), Amy Moreau (seven goals/17 draw controls), Olivia Muscella (13 goals/25 draw controls), Courtney Barrett (15 groundballs), and Audra Tosone (23 groundball/25 draw controls) were named to the 2022 A-10 Women's Lacrosse Preseason All-Conference Team.
- UMass was voted to finish first in the 2022 A-10 Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll with 99 points and nine first-place votes.

ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S
- The Hawks have a 4-4 record to start the season with a win in their last game against Delaware.
- Saint Joseph's begin conference play at Duquesne Friday evening.
- The A-10 runners-up from a season ago are led this year by Lauren Figura (24 goals) and Lisa Ross (11 goals/13 assists).
- Sophomore goalkeeper Jorden Concordia has tallied 77 saves this season.
- Figura was named to the 2022 A-10 Women's Lacrosse Preseason All-Conference Team.
- Saint Joseph's is projected to finish second in the conference with 83 points and one first-place vote, according to the 2022 A-10 Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll.
