ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure outlasted the University of Mary Washington in a hard-fought defensive battle.
Looking to come back strong after a road loss to Mount, the Bonnies held firm and played a dominant style.
The first half saw both clubs have opportunities, and the Bonnies took a 7-3 lead into the halftime break.
Bonaventure finished the game with a gritty performance and a 12-8 victory.
"We had a good week of training leading into the game. Even though we encountered obstacles like injuries, we were able to adapt and overcome and pull through with a tough win," said Niku Otineru.
The pack now prepares for their final game of the season against Notre Dame College this Saturday.
