Women’s Swim and Dive Competes In First Day of Conference Championships

GENEVA, Ohio—The St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team competed in the opening day of the Atlantic 10 Championships on Wednesday at SPIRE Institute.
 
The Bonnies totaled 36 points and are in 10th place through one day, while George Washington jumped out to an early lead with 136 points.
 
The Brown and White kicked things off in the 200-medley relay. The quartet of Allison Lenda, Beth Thomas, Silvana Cabrera and Halle Myers posted a time of 1:42.03 to earn eighth-place finish.
 
The other event in which Bona's took to the water on the opening day was the 800-freestyle relay. The team of Kathryn Beyer, Ellie Kraus, Daciana Colon and Nele Vetter combined for a time of 7:33.39 to come in 10th place.
 
The championships continue tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. and carry on through Saturday.
