GENEVA, Ohio — The St. Bonaventure University women's swim and dive team completed their third day at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Friday inside the SPIRE Institute.
The Bonnies currently sit in ninth place with 139 team points. George Washington holds a commanding lead with 586 points, while Richmond and Fordham round out the top three with 346.5 and 315 pints respectively.
Silvana Cabrera kicked the day off in a historic performance for the Brown and White in the 100-butterfly. The junior earned an eighth-place finish in the 100-butterfly with a time of 54.58, good enough for the third-best time in program history. She replaces Lina Kutsko's time of 54.86 that was set in 2017-18 in the program top-three.
Kathryn Beyer earned the best finish of the day for the Bonnies when she collected seventh in the 200-freestyle, touching the wall in a time of 1:50.44.
The 400-medley team earned their way into the record books during day three of the championships. The quartet of Cabrera, Allison Lenda, Beth Thomas and Ellie Kraus clocked in at eighth-place for the event.
Their time of 3:45.06 puts them second all-time in Bona's history, surpassing the time of 3:46.97 set by the team of Theresa Hutton, Maria Rocchi, Devon McFadden, Kathryn Godlewski (2016-17).Â
The championships wrap up on Saturday with prelims starting at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
