ST. BONAVENTURE (2-5, 1-0 A-10) vs EASTERN MICHIGAN (1-3)

The St. Bonaventure University women's lacrosse team will take on Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, March 14. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
STARTING OFF A-10 PLAY THE RIGHT WAY
- The Bonnies opened up conference play by defeating VCU, 15-13, this past Saturday.
- Saturday's win marked the first conference victory for the Brown and White since the 2017 campaign.
- In program history, this was the first victory against the Rams.
- Sophomore Fiona McGovern (six goals/two assists), redshirt freshman Jessica Notaro (three goals) and junior Abby Hiltz (three goals) led the offensive attack for St. Bonaventure.
- Freshman Brooke Piper and junior Kassi Hogan also found the back of the net Saturday afternoon. Hogan's score was the eventual game-winner for the Bonnies with one-minute left in the contest.
- Nora Anderson, Grace Hollenbeck, Riley Schott, and Hiltz all chipped in with assists.
- In the cage, Ashley Herrick made nine saves with several key stops late in the game to keep the Rams off the board in the final minutes to secure the victory.
MCGOVERN CONTINUES TO SHINE
- McGovern has been the offensive leader for the Bonnies during the 2023 season.
- The second-year attacker leads the team with 19 goals, which ranks fourth in the conference.
- The Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. native has also tallied a team-high eight assists this season, giving her 28 total points on the so far this year
- Along with the game against VCU, she has registered multiple games this season with six goals.
ABOUT EASTERN MICHIGAN
- Eastern Michigan has begun the season 1-3, falling in their most recent contest against Xavier by a score of 11-10.
- This is the Inaugural Season for the Eagles, as they earned their first program victory against Delaware State
- This season Mackenzie Blackwell (nine goals) and Sydney Lawrence (six goals), lead the team in scores, while Avery Schwab has a team-high five assists.
- In net, Giuliana Ditsky and Hannah Bargeron have combined for 39 saves in spilt time.
- Eastern Michigan was selected to finish sixth (13 points) in the 2023 MAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Poll.
UP NEXT
- The Bonnies will return home to face Davidson on Saturday, March 4. The game is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. This will be the home conference opener for the Bonnies.
