ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Graduate student Sean Westley and senior Mark Belles represent the St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse team on the College Sports Communications Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team, officials have announced.

The 2023 Academic All-District Men's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions. At-large sports include golf, fencing, ice hockey, gymnastics, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, water polo, beach volleyball, bowling, rowing, field hockey and wrestling.

Westley adds another accolade to his outstanding Bonnies resume after posting a 3.97 GPA in both his undergraduate work while earning a degree in finance as well as his graduate studies as he worked toward his MBA.

The Whitby, Ontario native was a three-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection before being named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team this spring. He joined elite company last spring when he also became an Academic All-American – twice – as selected by both College Sports Communicators and the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.

The program's all-time leader in career scoring, Westley is the only Bonnies player to suit up in every game since the rebirth of the program at the Division I level in 2019. He graduates as the school's leader in career points (156), goals (93) and assists (63). This season, he ranked sixth among all Atlantic 10 players in goals with 25 and his 37 total points stood ninth in the conference during the regular season.

Belles returned to the Bonnies lineup this spring after missing the 2022 season due to injury. He ranked third on the team in goals (eight), assists (seven), and total points (15) while also picking up 16 groundballs.

A two-time MAAC All-Academic pick, the Canandaigua, N.Y. native owns a 3.7 undergraduate GPA as a finance major and has begun graduate work with a 3.98 GPA in those classes. For his career, he has registered 19 goals and 37 total points in a Bonnies uniform.

CSC Academic All-District honorees are nominated and voted on by sports information directors across the country. For more information about CSC Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® Teams program, visit AcademicAllAmerica.com.
