UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team fell in their first meet of the season at Penn State by a score of 212-86. 
 
Four Bonnies collected second-place finishes in their respective events.

Kathryn Beyer posted a time of 1:54.77 in the 200-yard freestyle for the team's first second-place finish of the day. The sophomore also earned a third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:18.82. 
 
Silvana Cabrera's time of 2:05.60 in the 200-yard butterfly gave her a second-place finish as well. The Lima, Peru native also swam to a third-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.05. 
 
Junior Halle Myers followed her teammates earning a second- and third-place finish in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle races respectively. Ellie Kraus also posted a time of 52.63 in the 100-free to tie Myers. 
 
Freshman Anna Bojana Forjan was the fourth Bonnie of the day with a second-place finish. She touched the wall in 2:04.65 in the 200-yard backstroke to earn her first collegiate points for the Bonnies. 
 
Maris Sadowski also earned her first points for the Bonnies with a third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. 
 
The Bonnies 400-free relay made up of Beyer, Kraus, Myers, and Amy O'Rourke, recorded a time of 3:31.41 which was good for second. 
 
In diving action, Kylie McKee recorded scores of 186.3 and 209.85 in the one- and three-meter dives respectively. Rookie Erin Castagnero tallied scores of 173.10 and 177.15. 
 
St. Bonaventure hosts its first event in the Reilly Center next weekend as the Bonnies host Youngstown State on Saturday, Oct. 7 for Alumni Weekend. Diving is set to begin at 11 a.m. and swimming at 2 p.m.
