BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Reigning Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week Jenna Gregory paced the St. Bonaventure women's cross country team in the Paul Short Run Saturday afternoon, one of the nation's largest and most prestigious races.
As a team, the Bonnies finished 34th out of 43 teams competing.
Gregory finished the 6K Brown Race in a time of 23:27.8 to lead the Bonnies pack. She entered the week after taking A-10 weekly honors this past Monday for her effort in last week's meet. Gregory finished 111th out of 351 competitors in the race.
Sophomores Mia Winters (24:09.1) and Claire Cuneo (24:11.1) were nearly side-by-side at the finish line to take second and third on the squad.
Freshman Meghan Lex was solid in her first collegiate 6K, crossing the stripe in 24:24.6 and sophomore Molly Gipson was fifth for the team at 24:57.2.
Reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week Katelyn Wilkes (25:11.5) and senior Lauren McGee (25:15.0) completed Bona's top seven.
In the open race, Adria Magnusson paced the Bonnies with her effort of 25:03.6 while Elise Brooks (25:42.7) also broke the 26-minute mark.
The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, Oct. 14 in Gettysburg at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational.
