The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team looks to stay hot as they travel to Little Three rival Canisius Wednesday and play their second Atlantic 10 contest of the season Saturday at La Salle. After ending their spring break trip with a win over the Pac-12's California, Bona has posted wins over Saint Francis and A-10 foe, George Washington for a three-game winning streak.

The Bonnies secured their first win in Atlantic 10 play, taking a 14-7 victory over George Washington. Redshirt sophomore
Jessica Notaro went off for four goals in the contest after missing the previous three games with injury.

Ashley Herrick was phenomenal, making 11 saves in the contest. She is up to four games with double-digit saves this season.
Brit Colangelo had four caused turnovers for the second consecutive game. She also picked up four groundballs and recorded her first assist of the season against the Revolutionaries.Â

NOTABLES
- Colangelo was named the Atlantic 10's Defensive Player of the Week following her performance against Saint Francis and GW. She is the first Bonnies to earn an A-10 weekly honor this season.Â
- Colangelo has the second-best caused turnovers per game mark in the Atlantic 10Â at 1.86. She is also averaging 2.29 groundballs per game.Â
- Herrick has continued her outstanding play in the cage, and with her win over GW she moved into second on the Bonnies all-time wins list. This season, she has a .496 save percentage and a 10.27 goals against average. Her save percentage mark is third-best in the Atlantic 10 and 16th among all Division I goalies. Â
- Kassi Hogan has scored in all seven of the Bonnies games this season, tying her longest career scoring streak.Â
- Brooke Piper has two or more goals in every game this season and is averaging 2.43 goals per game.Â

SERIES HISTORY WITH THE GRIFFS
The Golden Griffins have a slight edge in the all-time series, winning eight of 15 meetings since 2000. All of the Bonnies seven wins came in consecutive years from 2001-2009 with the teams not meeting in 2005. In last year's rivalry matchup, the Griffs took a 13-9 win over the Bonnies at the Marra Athletics Complex.Â

ABOUT CANISIUSÂ
- The Griffins have started their season 5-1 with their lone loss coming at Queens. Most recently, Canisius has taken victories over Le Moyne (10-7) and New Hampshire (16-6). In their season opener, the Griffs played the Atlantic 10's George Washington, taking an 11-6 decision in the nation's capital.Â
- Canisius was selected to finish sixth in the MAAC preseason poll. They had three preseason All-MAAC team honorees in midfielder Paige Stachura, defender Jill Galanti, and goalkeeper Jody Chu.Â
- Stachura has lived up to the preseason hype, tallying a team-best 18 goals. Her 2.64 goals per game are good for eighth best in the conference. Chu has posted a .440 save percentage in the cage for the Griffs.Â

SERIES HISTORY VS LA SALLE
Bona's and the Explorers have previously met 23 times, playing every year since SBU added women's lacrosse in 2000. La Salle has won 13 to the Bonnies' 10 for a slim advantage in the all-time series. The previous three contests have been played at the Marra Athletics Complex. SBU won the 2023 matchup, 11-10.
Brooke Piper scored twice in the fourth quarter to hedge off a late Explorers rally.Â

ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- La Salle was picked 10th in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll, receiving 14 points.Â
- The Explorers have started the 2024 season 2-4 with wins over Fairleigh Dickinson and Howard.Â
- La Salle is taking the least shots per game in the A-10 at just over 23, but have the best shot percentage, converting on just over 50% of their attempts at goal.Â
- Despite only starting two games, freshman Brooke Nelson has played the majority of minutes in net for the Explorers. She has made 36 saves in 221 minutes in cage for a .500 save percentage. Sophomore Mary Babbage has played the rest of the minutes, making three starts. She has a .327 save percentage and a 16.06 goals against average.Â
- La Salle dropped their A-10 opener at Davidson, 16-7.Â
