The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team looks to stay unbeaten in the Atlantic 10 as they host Duquesne Wednesday and travel to Massachusetts Saturday. The Bonnies have one of their best-ever starts to league play, going 2-0 in their first two contests with wins over George Washington and La Salle.

LAST TIME OUT
Bona took care of the Explorers in Philadelphia, posting a 17-7 win. The 10-goal differential is the biggest win the Bonnies have ever recorded over La Salle and is their second victory in a row over the Explorers. Five different Bonnies players had three or more goals in the contest.

Fiona McGovern tallied her fourth game with five or more points this season and her second in a row. She got to work early, scoring within the first minute of the game before assisting on the Brown and White's second goal.

Sophomore Grace Hollenbeck set a new career-best Saturday as she scored four goals. The Baldwinsville, N.Y. native scored four goals on four shots and went 1-for-1 on free position opportunities.

NOTABLES
  • McGovern's three goals and two assists at La Salle helped her take over 15th on the SBU all-time points leaderboard with 119 points, surpassing current head coach LeighAnn Stauffer, '17 (115).
  • Senior Abby Hiltz is one assist away from surpassing Nicole Motando, '06 on the Bonnies all-time assists leaderboard and taking sole possession of fifth. Hiltz has recorded 47 career assists in 53 games played.
  • Ashley Herrick remains one of the top goalkeepers in the Atlantic 10 with a 50% save percentage while averaging 7.78 saves per game. Herrick hasn't allowed more than nine goals in the previous five games. She is first in the Atlantic 10 in goals against average at 9.40.
  • McGovern was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts against Canisius and La Salle. She tallied 11 and had back-to-back games with five or more points. This is the second week in a row St. Bonaventure has earned a spot on the A-10 weekly awards list with Brit Colangelo earning last week's A-10 Defensive Player of the Week award.
  • The Bonnies are seeking their best start to the Atlantic 10 slate since they opened the 2007 A-10 schedule 5-0.

FRIENDLY CONFINES
The Marra Athletics Complex has been friendly to the Bonnies so far this season as they are still undefeated on home turf. Their 3-0 home start has come thanks to a vibrant offense and gritty defense at home. The Bonnies have averaged over 13 goals at home while scoring 10 during road contests. Bona has averaged nine caused turnovers per contest at home as well.
