ST. BONAVENTURE (8-12) at GEORGE WASHINGTON (15-10)
Friday - Sunday, March 29-31
Washington, D.C.
LEADING OFF
- The Bonnies and Revolutionaires kick off the Atlantic 10 schedule with a three-game set this weekend. They also opened the A-10 slate in 2022 in D.C. when GW swept the three-game series. GW also swept the season finale series at SBU last May. The teams did not meet in 2020 or 2021, and GW also swept a home series in 2019. Bona's last win over GW came April 27, 2018 at home and the Revs have taken 11 of the last 12 meetings.
- The St. Bonaventure baseball team finally played on home turf Tuesday after opening the 2024 season with 19 road games. SBU opened the season with an 844-mile trip to Charleston, S.C. for three games at The Citadel before a 669-mile trek to Louisville in the second weekend of the season. A 735-mile jaunt to Presbyterian followed by a 744-mile drive to Middle Tennessee made up the first four series on the year.
- St. Bonaventure entered this week as winners of four of its last five before dropping a Tuesday midweek game vs Le Moyne, 7-3. Bona won its last series, 3-1, at Mount St. Mary's March 16-18 and also won a mid-week contest at Penn State last week, 9-7.Â

YARD WORK
Junior
Robert Mannino blasted his first home run in a Bonaventure uniform Tuesday vs. Le Moyne, hitting a blast out to left-center field in the eighth inning. It was his first home run at the Division I level, he had one round-tripper at Florence-Darlington Technical College last year.
NEW FACE AT THE TOP OF THE ORDER
The Bonnies had a newcomer at the top of the lineup in Tuesday's midweek game vs. Le Moyne.
Chris Hoalcraft batted out of the leadoff spot for the first time and narrowly missed a home run to left that was squashed by a hard wind blowing straight in.Â
Adam Rankie has the most appearances in the leadoff spot this year (7), followed by
Paul Vossen (6) and David Marshall (6).
ON A STREAKÂ
Paul Vossen has been a table-setter for the Bonnies offense this season. The redshirt senior has reached base safely in 14 consecutive games played entering this weekend.
