TEMPE, Ariz. – The St. Bonaventure University men's and women's tennis team both earned All-Academic Team distinction from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) while a total of six student-athletes garnered ITA Scholar-Athlete honors following the 2023-24 academic year.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better. Bona's women's team posted the highest GPA of any team on campus this year at 3.65 while the men's team boasted a 3.24 collective GPA.
Abbie Tyler, Isabella Venter, Kelly Barnes and Sienna Smith earned ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades for the women's squad while Jean Marrero and Arjun Pindiprolu gathered honors on the men's team.
To earn individual honors, an ITA student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.5 or higher.
The men's team has achieved ITA All-Academic Team honors six out of the last seven years while the women's team has made the cut nine times since 2012.
