ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Head women's lacrosse coach LeighAnn Stauffer announced the program's 2025 team captains. Seniors Tori Nascimento and Brooke Cicoria have been tabbed to lead the team in their fourth season with the program.
 
Tori Nascimento, from Acton, Ontario, appeared in a career-high 17 games last season. She tallied 18 points on 14 goals and four assists with a shot percentage of .304.
 
"Tori is an extremely positive individual who truly cares about her teammates," Stauffer said. "She is the leader in ensuring this team remains family-oriented while also creating a healthy competitive environment. Her teammates look to her for individual guidance on and off the field."
 
Nascimento had a breakout game against Youngstown State last season, scoring four goals and one assist. She also tallied the game-winning goal in the Bonnies 19-6 win over Duquesne.
 
Cicoria has appeared in 44 games in her career, making 25 starts. A Pittsford, N.Y. native, Cicoria has tallied 32 groundballs and caused 16 turnovers in her career in the Brown and White.
 
"Brooke has been someone this program has looked to on the defensive end and off the field for the past few years," Stauffer said. "She expects the absolute best out of her team, and they respect her more for it. Brooke loves learning new concepts and achieving goals, and I believe that is contagious to the rest of her team."
 
Last season, Cicoria had her best statistical year yet, recording 18 groundballs and six caused turnovers.
 
"Both captains balance each other incredibly well, and we are excited for them to lead us through a competitive 2025 season," said Stauffer.
 
The Bonnies start the 2025 campaign with a four-game homestand starting Feb. 8 as they welcome Pittsburgh to the Marra Athletics Complex.
