HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Members of the St. Bonaventure men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Highlander Invitational on Saturday morning, battling rainy and cold conditions.
Junior Lucas Catarella had the fastest time for the men's squad, clocking the 8K course in 26:58.3.
Teammates Carter Stevens and James Hoffman both had personal bests of 27:57.3 and 28:30.0 respectively while senior Tyler Schott timed in at 28:26.9.
On the women's side, senior Molly Gipson recorded a PR as she posted a time of 23:35.6, good for 29th overall in the field of 188 competitors.
The full squads will be back in action next Saturday, Oct. 18 to run the historic Gettysburg battlefields in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational, the last warmup before Atlantic 10 Championships.
