ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure men's basketball program will play its only exhibition ahead of the 2025-26 season against Alfred on Wednesday (Oct. 29) in the Reilly Center. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET.  The game will not be televised but will air on the radio via the Bonnies Online Network. 
 
Tickets may be purchased for $10 each at the St. Bonaventure Athletics Ticket Office or at the following link: https://vivenu.com/event/mbb-vs-alfred-upc0k6. Tickets include access to the St. Bonaventure women's basketball exhibition against Daemon at 4:30 p.m. and the men's exhibition immediately to follow.
 
The Bonnies will be competing for the first time with an almost entirely new roster. Eleven newcomers will make their Reilly Center debut as just two scholarship players (Dasonte Bowen and Xander Wedlow) return from 2024-25. 
 
Seven of these new roster members came from the transfer portal, hailing from conferences such as the Big Ten, MAC and Big South as well as the Division II and Junior College ranks. Four international freshmen also join the squad: Ilia Ermakov (Russia), John Ikpotokin (Ireland), Achille Lonati (Italy) and Andrew Osasuyi (Italy).
 
Notes:

• The Bonnies took down Alfred in a preseason exhibition last season, 63-39.
• The Saxons finished the season 14-12 at the Division III level.
• Bonnies assistant coach Nick Schmidt played for four years at Alfred from 2014-18, earning second team All-Empire 8 honors as a senior. Nick's brothers (and sons of head coach Mark Schmidt) Derek and Mike Schmidt also played for the Saxons.
