ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure forward
Daniel Egbuniwe has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the CSC announced Tuesday (March 24). It is the second straight year that the Bonnies have had an All-Academic honoree.
Egbuniwe, a marketing major, transferred to St. Bonaventure for his senior season after spending two years at Tennessee Tech and one year at Little Rock. He averaged 8.2 points per game in his lone season with the Bonnies while shooting 39.7 percent (48-for-121) from beyond the arc.
He led the Bonnies to wins over East Carolina (Nov. 27) and Le Moyne (Dec. 20) with second half scoring surges, making multiple three-pointers in the second half of each contest to spearhead a St. Bonaventure comeback.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Student-athletes must achieve a 3.50 GPA or higher while competing in at least 90 percent or starting at least 66 percent of their team's games qualify for the Academic All-District teams.
