4/24/2025 2:37:00 PM

DAVIDSON (17-22, 11-7 A-10) at ST. BONAVENTURE (12-25, 3-15 A-10)
Friday - Sunday, April 25-27
St. Bonaventure, N.Y. - Handler Park at McGraw-Jennings Field

FIRST PITCH
St. Bonaventure begins a 10-game home stretch on Friday when they begin their weekend series against Davidson. Friday's game is set for 3 p.m., followed on Saturday with a 2 p.m. start. The teams will match up for the series finale on Sunday at 1 p.m. Davidson heads into the matchup after completing a comeback to win against Winthrop on Tuesday night. Friday and Sunday's games will be broadcast on ESPN+ while Saturday's contest will have an audio only broadcast through the Bonnies Online Network.

HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE
After starting the season playing 28 out of their 36 games away from home thus far, the Bonnies will play their next 10 games at Handler Park. Bonaventure has only had two series at home this season.

CATCHING FIRE
Harrison Kaufman has been heating up at the plate recently. His inside-the-park home run last Saturday at Fordham marked the third home run he's hit in the last five games. The senior third baseman has recorded nine hits in that span and sits at a .295 batting average on the season.

MR. .400
Jayce Tharnish is chasing a .400 batting average on the season. With 14 games left to go on the season, Tharnish sits at .413 to rank among the top-five in the A-10 this year. The last time a Bonnies player batted .400 over the course of a season was Jason Radwan in 2013 (Brendyn Stillman batted .519 in the 2020 season which was shortened to seven games, taking top national honors that year). The closest a Bonnie has been to .400 in a full season since Radwan's campaign was Thad Johnson in 2017 (.354).

BY THE NUMBERS

4 – With four hits in Tuesday's loss to Canisius, Jayce Tharnish has reached that mark in four games this season. Tharnish has 19 multi-hit games this season.

8 – David Marshall Jr. raised his hit streak to eight games in Tuesday's game at Canisius. Marshall has recorded a hit in 14 of his last 15 games.

9 – Conner Vercollone has a team-high nine homers on the season. With one more home run, Vercollone would have the 15th season in Bonnies history of double-digit round-trippers.

12 – Tharnish and Vercollone each have 12 two-out RBIs this season to lead the team.

1.000 – Tharnish and Kaufman have posted an OPS above 1.000 this season with Tharnish at 1.038 and Kaufman at 1.035.
