GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The St. Bonaventure women's cross country team turned in seven new program individual top-20 times on a morning for personal bests Saturday at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational.

As a team, the Bonnies placed sixth out of 46 squads in attendance.

For the first time in program history, five Bonnies women ran a 6K race in the 22-minute range. In addition, 16 Bona runners earned new PR times.

Senior Chloe Fisher set the tone for the team by crushing her previous PR as she clocked in at 22:27.5, good for 34th in the field of over 450 runners. Fisher bested her existing personal record by over 45 seconds as she jumps from 14th individually in the program record book all the way to fourth. It is the best 6K time by a Bonnies women's runner since Mia Winters turned in 21:55.9 at the same course two years ago.

Junior Miranda Habshi came home second on the team and 55th overall as she timed in at 22:53.9.

Just behind her, Madeline McKillop (22:56.7) and Madison McMahon (22:57.3) as well as Naina Slaughter (22:58.2) were neck-and-neck across the finish line with personal bests. The trio now stand 10th, 12th and 13th respectively in the program record books.

The rest of Bona's top seven included freshman Sydney Dunn (23:09.6) and sophomore Sydney March (23:18.6) who also jump to 17th and 19th in the program records.

Just outside the team scoring, junior Sophia Bille also moves into the program individual top 20 with her run of 23:20.0.

QUOTES FROM HEAD COACH BOB MACFARLANE
"We couldn't be prouder of the effort, commitment and determination these women continue to show. We had 14 women qualify for the Atlantic 10 Championships, although we can only take our top 10. That speaks volumes about the depth, competitiveness and growth of the team. They're pushing each other, raising the standard and proving that their hard work is paying off. The best is still ahead."
