BETHLEHEM, Pa. - St. Bonaventure's scheduled competitions at the 52nd annual Paul Short Run Friday were canceled by Lehigh University officials due to elevated heat and rising temperatures during the afternoon.

St. Bonaventure men's and women's cross country athletes were slated to compete in the College Brown races which were two of six events canceled on the afternoon slate after the morning races were held.

There will not be a makeup for the events which are part of one of the nation's most prestigious cross country meets each year.

St. Bonaventure cross country is next scheduled to head to Gettysburg, Pa. for the Aubrey Shenk Invitational Saturday, Oct. 17.
