The GoBonnies.com Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 1 are men's golf freshman Nicolas Gaughan and women's cross country junior Madeline McKillop.

Gaughan finished up an outstanding fall by leading the Bonnies at the ODU/OBX Invitational this past week. The West Chester, Pa. native was key to the Bonnies taking third in a stacked 15-team field.

He posted two solid rounds of 73 and 72 to begin the tournament before posting his best collegiate round to close the tourney on Tuesday. He shot 4-under 67 at the Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, N.C. layout to finish 1-under for the tournament.

During the fall season, he recorded a scoring average of 73.0 and two top-10 tournament finishes.

McKillop paced the Bonnies in the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships in Mechanicsville, Va. this past Saturday.

She turned in a new personal best 6K time of 22:40.2, eclipsing her previous best by over 16 seconds. With her effort, the Sayville, N.Y. native jumps to sixth individually in program history.
