LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure University men's tennis team came up short in a pair of weekend matches on the road at Youngstown State and Siena.

The Bonnies fell to the Penguins, 6-1, Saturday afternoon before dropping a match to the Saints, 4-0, Sunday afternoon.

Bona's was able to score the doubles point against Youngstown State with wins at No. 1 and No. 3.

The duo of Connor Turner and Chase Cahill-Welsh registered a 6-2 win at the top spot while Alex Kim and Davis Matney were victorious at No. 2.

The Penguins, however, swept all six singles matches to earn the win.

Against the Saints Sunday, Turner, Matney and Chahill-Welsh were all leading in the second set of their respective singles matches before play was stopped due to Siena clinching the match.

The Bonnies make their home debut Saturday, Feb. 14 against Buffalo.
