ROCHESTER – St. Bonaventure's underclassmen shined in the final meet of the regular season for the Bonnies men's indoor track team Friday at the Nazareth Conference Tune-Up.

Freshman Jackson Frisa finished second on the night in the 1000 meters, crossing the stripe in 2:36.69 which will move him into sixth individually in school history for the event. Sophomore Kevin Renner (2:40.60) just missed a program top-10 while senior James Hoffman (2:43.49) PR'ed as well.

Alexander Rennick continued his strong freshman season by posting a new program top-10 effort in the 3000 meters. He timed in at 9:00.57 to beat his season best by over two and a half seconds while moving to sixth in school history.

In the 60-meter hurdles, Ben Dillon bested his season-best time by clocking in at 9.60.

Riley Dillon PR'ed in the 200 with his third-place finish of 23.34 as he remains second individually for the event in program history by topping his previous best of 23.40.

QUOTES FROM HEAD COACH BOB MACFARLANE
"Our standard is to compete, regardless of the circumstances, and the men did that tonight. There's still another gear we can hit, but the effort and focus were there. That's what you need this time of year."

"Alex Rennick, Jack Handman and Lucas Catarella all came away with personal bests tonight, and it's great to see Matthew Ryan continuing to progress in the 800. Shout out to Kevin Renner for competing across three meets this weekend — that toughness matters. This young distance group is putting in the work and starting to build the next Bona's distance crew."
