SELINSGROVE, Pa. – St. Bonaventure women's track showed solid performances across sprints, mid-distance and distance events Saturday on a cold and blustery day at the Jim Taylor Duals.

Sophomore Madeline McKillop was strong in the 400 meters as she crossed the stripe in 1:00.24, good for second in school history and just off the program record of 1:00.20 owned by Jenna Wyant. McKillop placed fourth out of 17 runners in Saturday's event. Freshman Malaika George (1:02.91) and senior Adria Magnusson (1:03.19) also registered new SBU individual top-10 times as well.

Also in sprint action, senior Meghan Litteer nearly matched her school record in the 100 as she clocked in at 12.88, narrowly missing her PR of 12.86 set last year. Litteer scored sixth in Saturday's meet out of 39 competitors.

Later in the day, Litteer was able to do one better as she established a new school record in the 200 with a run of 26.42 to beat her previous PR of 26.62 posted one week earlier and break the existing Bona's top mark of 26.56 recorded last year by Julia Wyant.

McKillop turned in another impressive effort in the 800 as she finished second out of 40 athletes with a time of 2:21.39, just behind the winning time of 2:20.70 from Sarah Colman of Saint Francis (PA). Freshman teammate Sydney March (2:21.93) remains third individually in program history for the event with a new PR which placed her third in Saturday's meet as well just behind her teammate. Freshman Gianna Bille was fourth in the race at 2:27.35.

Freshman Brianna Reynolds finished second in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:06.22, behind only Abby Parise of Bloomsburg (1:04.17).

In the steeplechase, the Bonnies claimed the top two spots as senior Mia Winters won with a time of 11:38.85 while classmate Molly Gipson completed the 3,000 meters in 12:25.87 to place second.

In the 5000, Jillian Lozo (18:55.71), Miranda Habshi (19:09.53), Brooke Hudnall (20:04.73) and Chloe Fisher (20:11.71) all set new personal best times.

QUOTES FROM HEAD COACH BOB MACFARLANE
"Despite very cold temperatures and strong winds, the women's track team showed tremendous grit, persevering through tough conditions. Nine athletes recorded personal bests.

"In the sprint events, Meghan Litteer had a standout day, setting a new school record in the 200 meters. She also teamed up with Wyant, Thompkins, and Gomolka to set another top mark in the 4x100 relay. Malaika George continues to show steady improvement with each outing, proving to be a key contributor.

"In the mid-distance events, Alyssa Young is making strong progress in her return from injury, improving each meet and building momentum. Sydney March is beginning to find her rhythm and is already showing as a freshman just how valuable she is to the program.

"The distance group, despite being very young, continues to grow, improve, and develop a better understanding of the training and racing process with four out the six having their personal track best. Overall, it was a strong showing for the Bonnies, highlighted by resilience, growth, and continued progress across all event groups."
