4/25/2026 8:06:00 PM

FREDONIA, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure women's outdoor track team celebrated Senior Day with the regular season finale Saturday afternoon at the Fredonia Last Chance Qualifier.

Senior Mia Winters turned in the victorious time in the 3000-meter steeplechase at 11:27.41, 20 seconds ahead of second place.

In the 1500, freshman Sydney March ran a strong time of 4:55.04, better than her previous PR of 4:58.95. She placed fourth out of 31 starters in Saturday's meet.

Sophomore Miranda Habshi ran second in the 5K with another big Bonnies PR. She timed in at 18:45.74, besting her previous top mark by exactly 14 seconds.

The Bonnies recorded a new program relay record in the 4x100 as seniors Riley Gomolka and Meghan Litteer teamed with freshman Gwendolyn Tompkins and sophomore Julia Wyant to run a new Bona-best mark of 50.89, breaking the previous top time of 51.09 in the record book.

An all-senior team of Mary Trost, Molly Gipson, Mia Winters and Meghan Litteer posted 4:21.10 in the 4x400, the winning time in Saturday's meet and good for second in the program record book.

QUOTES FROM HEAD COACH BOB MACFARLANE
"The team braved cold temperatures and rain, but we were happy to honor our 12 graduating student-athletes for their dedication and contributions to the program.

"As a last chance opportunity to qualify for upcoming conference championships, many athletes used the meet to compete in new events or fine-tune their performances while others who had already qualified took a strategic approach and did not compete this weekend.

"Sydney March and Faith Caldwell continued their strong seasons with standout performances in the middle-distance events. In the distance races, Miranda Habshi and Alyssa Young each delivered impressive efforts and with personal bests. Mia Winters had an outstanding race in the steeplechase while the 4x400 team delivered a memorable performance. Looking ahead, nine members of the team have qualified for Atlantic 10 Championships next weekend."
