OPENING DRAW
The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team enters this upcoming weekend with eyes on securing a second straight victory over an Atlantic 10 opponent as the team is set to travel to face La Salle on Saturday morning. It will be the Bonnies' final regular season road game of 2026. A victory in Saturday's game will officially lock up an Atlantic 10 Tournament spot for the Bonnies.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies put on a dominant performance last Saturday on the road at George Mason, leading wire-to-wire and fending off multiple comeback runs before eventually closing the book on a 16-8 win. Senior
Grace Hollenbeck (3G) and freshmen
Riley Milligan (3G) and
Gracie Williams (3G-1A) each tallied hat tricks in the contest to propel SBU to the most goals the team has ever scored in a single game in Fairfax.
Â
MAJOR MILESTONE
With her four goals against Saint Joseph's two weeks ago, senior captain
Brooke Piper became just the third player in program history to reach 200 career points. The only other Bonnies to accomplish this feat are Kelly Chevez, '05 (240) andÂ
Fiona McGovern, '25 (218). The captain's 200th career point came off an assist from Williams around the six-minute mark during Bona's fourth quarter push for a tie, marking the hosts' final score of the game.
Â
Piper sits third on the program's all-time points leaderboard and already owns the career goals record (171) which she set earlier this season against Duquesne.
Â
IN THE RANKINGS
The Bonnies are well-represented in both the national and Atlantic 10 statistical ranks this season. Piper's 48 goals are the second-most in the conference and the 18th most in the country to date. She has scored the fourth-most goals per game (3.2) and 10th-most points per game (3.6) in the conference.
Â
Fellow senior and captainÂ
Brit Colangelo boasts the most caused turnovers per game (2.27) in the A-10, a figure which ranks 24th nationally. She has also scooped the second-most groundballs per game in the conference (2.53).
Â
Senior classmate
Megan Schillinger has controlled an average of just over four and a half draws per game, ranking fourth in the conference and giving her a total of 69 draws.
Â
COLLECTING HARDWARE
The Bonnies have collectively earned five weekly Atlantic 10 awards throughout the season, the second most behind only George Washington's seven. SBU has only collected more than five awards in one prior season, that being the record-setting 2006 season in which the team earned seven weekly distinctions.
Â
Bona's A-10 weekly award winners from this season are listed below:
2/16 –
Judy Mahoney  |  Defensive Player of the Week
3/2 –
Brooke Piper | Offensive Player of the Week
3/9 –

3/23 –
