The St. Bonaventure women's outdoor track team entered into split squad action on Sunday with sprinters and hurdlers heading to the Bucknell Outdoor Classic with the remainder of the squad competing at the Brockport Multis.

Bona's sprinters showed strong on Sunday in Bucknell with a pair of school records and four total PRs.

Senior captain Meghan Litteer broke her own program best mark in the 200 meters as she timed in at 26.19, bettering her mark of 26.42 posted last weekend.

Freshman Brianna Reynolds also broke her existing Bonnies record for the 400-meter hurdles with her performance of 1:05.40, better than her run of 1:05.73 at West Virginia last month.

In the 400, freshman Malaika George jumped to third individually in school history with her personal best of 1:00.65 while senior Adria Magnusson also ran her PR time in the event of 1:03.14.

At Brockport, freshman Sydney March won her heat race in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:04.22, taking 11th overall in the competition with the 10th-fastest individual time in school history.

QUOTES FROM HEAD COACH BOB MACFARLANE
"A contingent of mid-distance and distance athletes competed at Brockport, where we were able to place athletes in a variety of events to build adaptability to different racing conditions. Many athletes also moved down an event to target and develop their quick-twitch muscle groups. Across both meets today, the teams recorded 14 personal bests. Counting both Saturday and Sunday results, we had a total of 26 PRs, highlighting steady progress in the season. The runners continue to gain valuable experience and a stronger understanding of race tactics to further their development.

"Looking ahead, the next two regular season meets will focus on refining race strategies for athletes who have already qualified for championships, while providing additional opportunities for others to meet qualifying standards for A-10s. Overall this was a very strong and encouraging weekend for the program, highlighted by record-breaking performances, numerous personal bests, and continued development across all event groups. The team is gaining valuable experience, improving race awareness, and showing the versatility and momentum needed as we approach the championship phase of the season."
