ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – St. Bonaventure University softball head coach Camden Decker has announced the addition of Ciara Hanson as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 academic year.

Hanson joins the Bonnies coaching staff following one season as an assistant coach at Huntingdon College in Alabama. She helped the Hawks to a 33-12 record in 2026 as well as a regional championship appearance.

Also with the Hawks, Hanson directed the offensive development, helping the team to a .341 batting average, a .421 on-base percentage, 65 doubles, 15 triples, 157 walks, 94 stolen bases and 282 runs scored across 45 games.

Prior to Huntingdon, Hanson spent the 2025 season as an assistant coach at Lees-McRae College and the 2024 season at Caldwell Community College as an assistant.

Hanson served as the Social Media Manager and Director of Operations for Caldwell Athletics before beginning her softball coaching career.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Hanson completed two seasons of Division I softball, playing for the Charlotte 49ers in 2022 before transferring to Presbyterian College in 2023.

A 2024 graduate of Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Hanson also earned her MBA in Sports Management in December 2025 from Liberty.
