KICKING OFF
The St. Bonaventure women's soccer team opens Atlantic 10 play against Dayton at the Marra Athletics Complex Saturday evening. As the second game of a doubleheader on campus, kickoff is slated for 6:00 p.m. and will follow Bona's men's soccer team's match against VCU at 2:00 p.m.
 
PAWS FOR A CAUSE
Throughout Saturday's doubleheader, the St. Bonaventure men's and women's basketball teams will host the Paws for a Cause event in partnership with the Cattaraugus County SPCA.
 
Fans will get the chance to meet and spend time with some amazing animals. Donations of food and pet supplies are encouraged. The event will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. between the multi-purpose field and McGraw-Jennings Field.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies played Long Island to a scoreless tie this past Sunday in their non-conference finale at the SUSA Orlin and Cohen Sports Complex. Freshman goalkeeper Callie Turpin earned the start and played full-time, making five saves in the performance.
 
MINDING THE NET
Turpin has made four starts this season, totaling 18 saves for a save percentage of 85.7 percent, which ranks 33rd in the nation. She currently holds a streak of over 306 minutes of shutout goalkeeping. Bona's collective save percentage of 82.9 percent, contributed to by senior Juliana Castellano in her three starts, ranks 56th in the country.
 
CONSTANT PRESENCE
Freshman Liana Tata, who sits tied for the team lead with four points (2G), has started and played full-time in every contest so far this season, pacing the Bonnies with 630 minutes played. Trailing her are classmate Moran Moscovici (616) and sophomore Addison Brown (606).
 
LEGENDARY LEADER
Bona's head coach Ray Leone's 312 career wins currently rank 34th among all active Division-I coaches. Saturday will mark his first opportunity for victory in an A-10 clash.
 
CAREER FIRSTS
Five different Bonnies notched their first career goals in non-conference play: Tata, Ava Reybitz, Aoife Murphy, Ava Dimperio and Alexis Olson.
 
SPREADING THE WEALTH
SBU boasts 10 different point scorers so far in 2026. Alongside the team's five first-time goal scorers, they are: Audrey Cadman, Eduarda Silva, Sadie Richardson, Deanna Romero and Hannah Smith.
 
SCOUTING DAYTON

• The Flyers are led by head coach Eric Golz in his 10th consecutive season with the program. He led the program to its 11th A-10 Tournament Championship last season, finishing the year with a 15-4-3 overall record and a perfect 10-0 record in conference play. He was named the A-10 Coach of the Year.
• Currently holding a 3-5 record, the Flyers have picked up wins over Toledo, Wright State and Ball State this season.
• Redshirt junior Olivia Baca leads the team with six points coming from three goals.
• The Flyers have split goalkeeping duties between junior Kasey Cannistraro and redshirt junior Avery Strohecker, each of whom have earned four starts.
