ST.BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - The women's swimming and
diving team squared off against Big East member Pittsburgh Saturday
afternoon at the Reilly Center pool, falling 254-44.
Sophomore Jaelyn Thurner earned a bronze to post one of the
team's best finishes on the day. Thurner scored a 193.73 in the
3-meter dive, followed by teammate Alycia Gossett in fourth place.
The sophomore scored a 166.80.
In the swimming portion of the meet, senior Allison Smith
sprinted to bronze in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of
1:58.98. Junior Kathryne Valentine also claimed bronze for the
Bonnies, touching with a time of 1:01.35 in the 100-yard
backstroke.
The team will remain home for its next meet, Friday Oct. 23
against St. Francis. The meet will begin at 4:00.
