AKRON, Ohio- The St. Bonaventure women's
swimming team returned to the pool at the Zippy Invitational and
currently are in twelfth place after the first day of competition.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team consisting, of Lanae
Petty, Allison Smith, Lauren Ely, and Jamie Noonan, picked
up a first-place finish with a time of 1:40.38.
In the 500-yard freestyle 'B' finals, senior Kara
Small touched the wall in 16th place with a
time of 5:12.88.
The Bonnies earned a total of 70 points, 170 points behind A-10
rival Xavier's 240. Behind the Brown and White in 13th
place is Cleveland State University with 17 points. Ohio University
is leading the invite with 427 points, followed by the host
University of Akron with 415.
The University of Akron is hosting the 3-day tournament with 12
other competing teams.
