EAST LANSING, Mich – The St. Bonaventure
women's swimming and diving team competed in their final
regular season meet today against Michigan State, where they fell
138-89.
Senior Allison Smith finished in second place in
the 200-yard freestyle where she touched in at 1:55.91. She also
competed in the 100-yard freestyle where notched a third-place
finish with a time of 54.27.
In the 1000-yard freestyle, senior Kara Small
finished in second-place with a time of 10:37.52 and junior
Natalya Ghostlaw finished right behind here in
third-place at 10:46.73.
Senior Taylor Merena competed in the 100-yard
butterfly where finished in first-place with a time of 58.84.
In the 100-yard backstroke, Kathryne Valentine
sprinted to a second-place finish and a time of 59.74.
In diving action, sophomore Jaelyn Thurner
finished in fourth place in both the 1- meter and the 3-meter dives
with a scores of 187.94 and 209.40, respectively. Classmate
Alycia Gossett came in fifth place in the 1-meter
dive with a score of 179.85. In the 3-meter dive she had a score of
179.47 and fifth-place finish.
The Bonnies have next week off, but head to Buffalo for the A-10
Championships February 17-20 at Flickinger Athletic Center at Erie
Community Center.
