GENEVA, OHIO - The St. Bonaventure men's swimming and diving team returns to the pool on Nov 3 for its first conference meet and competition swim in the Spire Institute Tri-meet featuring the Bonnies, LaSalle and Xavier.
The meet will be held at Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio. The diving portion of the meet begins at 9:30 a.m. and the swimming will start at 2:00 p.m. The Spire Institute will be where this seasons Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships will be held.
The Bonnies hope to repeat last year's 209-125 win over La Salle where they took first-place in 13 out of 18 events. Then junior Elias Homerin led the way for the Bonnies by taking first in three events, the 1650-yard Freestyle (16:30.86), the 500-yard freestyle (4:42.82) and the 200-yard butterfly (1:55.04).
In the 200-yard freestyle James Martin (1:42.71) finished in first-place. Martin also picked up a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.76. Nathan Destree finished in third-place with a time of 48.72. Destree also picked up a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52.11.
LaSalle is coming off of an away win over Villanova on Oct. 24 (176-110). Xavier recently posted a 77-30 win over Bellarmine in Cincinnati, Ohio on Oct. 26.
The Brown and White traveled to Buffalo, N.Y. on Oct. 26 to defeat Canisius by a score of 145-90. In the process they broke seven Koessler Athletic Center Pool records. They broke records in the 400-yard medley relay

Seniors Homerin and Mike Murphy both posted two first-place finishes for the Brown and White. Homerin posted a gold in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 9:44.03 and touched in at 1:54.29 in the 200-yard butterfly, good for a first-place finish. Murphy topped the diving charts and finished first in both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards with scores of 308.55 and 258.00, respectively.
The Bonnies return to the pool on Nov 10 to host their first home meet of the season against Cleveland State. The meet will begin at 1 p.m.
