AKRON, Ohio – The St. Bonaventure women's swimming team return to the pool Friday Nov. 30 when they attend the Zippy Invitational hosted by The University of Akron at Ocasek Natatorium.
The invite will begin with prelims at 9 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. on Friday and continue on through Sunday Dec. 2.
Along with St. Bonaventure attending the invitational will be The University at Buffalo, Bloomsburg, Clarion, Indiana (Pa.), Niagara University. In addition to this will be the women's teams from Akron University, Illinois State, Ohio University and Toledo University.
The Brown and White are coming off of a weekend off and a 143-99 loss to Cleveland State on Nov. 11.
In that meet, sophomore Rachel Bull led the team with a first-place and second-place finish. She earned her first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.62 and placed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:08.63.
Adelyn Graf and Elizabeth Malone had the only other first-place finishes for the team. Malone finished with a time of 2:06.70 in the 200-yard butterfly for her gold. Graf touched in for her first-place in the 200 back with at time of 2:07.31, she also placed third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:13.22.
The Bonnies take a few weeks off and return to the pool on Jan. 19 when they host Binghamton in the Reilly Center pool.
