Bonnies hold 5th place at A-10's

Geneva, Ohio - The St. Bonaventure women's swimming and diving team is currently in fifth place after the first day of competition at the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championships held at the Spire Institute on Wednesday night.

The Brown and White with 56 points hold a 2-point lead over Xavier (54) with UMass topping the women's board with 155 points. Richmond is in second place with 101 points followed by La Salle in third with 86. Rounding out the women's scoring is Fordham (66), Xavier (54), George Washington (50), Duquesne (36), Rhode Island (33), Butler (28), and Saint Louis (26).

Jeanette Dietrich, Shannon Haberman, Rachel Bull and Hope Andrews teamed up in the 800-yard freestyle relay to take fifth place with a time of 7:30.95.

In the 200-yard medley relay, Adelyn Graf, McKenzie Courtney, Lauren Caldwell and Dietrich touched in at 1:44.68, good for an eighth-place finish.

The Brown and White will begin its second day of competition at the A-10 Championships beginning at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow with the prelims followed by the finals at 6:30 p.m.
