Post-Race Interview With 800 Relay Team

Geneva, Ohio -
The St. Bonaventure men's swimming and diving team is currently in first place after the first day of competition at the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championships held at the Spire Institute on Wednesday night.

The Brown and White with 80 points hold a 12-point lead over Xavier (68) in second place. Rounding out the men's scoring is Massachusetts (60), George Washington (58), Saint Louis (56), La Salle (54), and Fordham (52).

Vatslav Lets, Michael Pilyugin, Ripley Danner and Jimmy Martin teamed up in the 800-yard freestyle relay to take first place with a time of 6:33.68.

In the 200-yard medley relay, Lets, Nathan Destree, Matthew Schutt and Martin touched in at 1:30.00, good for a first-place finish.

The Brown and White will begin its second day of competition at the A-10 Championships beginning at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow with the prelims followed by the finals at 6:30 p.m.
